Convert a rate card template into lane-level rate cards, ready to upload.

  1. 1Export your Data sheet as CSV. Open the Data sheet in your rate card workbook and save it as .csv — that one sheet.
  2. 2Upload the file. Drag it into the box below, or click to browse.
  3. 3Select the rate card type. Each type reads its own template and tags every rate card name with it: Non USA → BOOKBASIS, USA → USA, India Collect → ICDCOLLECT, EVLS → EVLS.
  4. 4Check the file code and revision. Both are read off the file name — 101_2604 and rev0618 from 101_2604_Book basis(CY)_Comparison_2nd(…)_rev0618.xlsx. The revision falls back to rev0000 when the name has none; edit it only if you need to. A file with no code has to be renamed.
  5. 5Set the three dates. Valid from and Valid to are the real validity and go into the output columns. The version start date is the date this revision takes effect — it appears in the rate card name only, so a new revision gets new names while Valid From stays as it is.
  6. 6Required columns. Matched by header name, so column order does not matter: Carrier, Container Type, POD Port, Incoterms, Dry/Reefer, Haza for Non USA; Carrier, Container Type, POD Port, DEL, Incoterms for India Collect, where each rate card is named for its POD port and destination ICD (Mundra-ICD Ahmedabad); Carrier, Container Type, POD Port, Incoterms for EVLS. Charge columns are matched by name too; any that are absent come through blank. If a required column is missing, the converter tells you which.
  7. 7Check the carriers. The Carrier column must hold a carrier from the carrier list, and the SCAC column is filled from that list. Short names are converted automatically (e.g. Hapag → HAPAG LLOYD) and listed in blue. A carrier that is not in the list is flagged in amber — pick the right one from the dropdown, or choose Skip to leave its rate cards out, and click Apply. Rate card names keep the carrier as written in the file.

    CMACGMCMA CGM
    EMCEVERGREEN
    HAPAGHAPAG LLOYD
    INTERASIAIAL
    WHLWAN HAI
    YMLYANG MING

Matching ignores upper/lower case, spaces and punctuation. The conversion applies to the Carrier and SCAC columns only, for every rate card type. Carriers are then checked against the carrier list of 27 carriers.

  8. 8Check the POD ports. Some PODs are renamed automatically (e.g. Ain Sokhna → SOKHNA) and listed in blue. A POD that is not in the master list is flagged in amber — pick the right one from the dropdown, or choose Skip to leave its rate cards out, and click Apply. For India Collect the check runs on the DEL column. Rate card names never contain spaces or brackets.

Matching ignores upper/lower case and spaces. The conversion applies to the rate card name and the POD Port column, for every rate card type. PODs are then checked against the master list of 352 ports.

  9. 9Convert, review, download. Click Convert, check the preview, then download the CSV.
